Story sharing session of the future female leaders held at Asian University for Women in Bangladesh

Recently MetLife Foundation and Asian University for Women (AUW) jointly held a story sharing session for the Access Academy Students in the presence of President, MetLife Asia and Member of the Board of Directors of MetLife Foundation, Chris Townsend.

The theme of the program was “My Journey to AUW, Lessons Learned and Windows of Opportunity” where the underprivileged female students coming from Asia and the Middle East shared their story to proceed to the path of higher education. The session was arranged to give an opportunity to the students to tell about their hurdles after higher secondary and the way they overcome and now preparing for the future. The session was arranged at the Chittagong campus of the Asian University for Women.

Presently MetLife Foundation is the largest donor for Access Academy of Asian University for Women. Last year MetLife Foundation approved three years long grant to the academy to provide educational support to the socially and economically disadvantaged female students to prepare them for higher education. Here the students receive support to foster English communication skills, critical thinking, problem-solving and strategies for life-long learning and leadership to follow their dream of higher education.
