A Bangladeshi delegation is participating in the inaugural ceremony of the Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The delegation, led by Dr. Nazrul Islam, Additional Foreign Secretary, expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia and the alliance’s co-initiators for hosting the event.
Bangladesh emphasized the urgent need for a concrete, time-bound roadmap to achieve a two-state solution and bring lasting peace to Palestine and the region.
The high-level ceremony was inaugurated by Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud and attended by over 90 delegations from OIC, Arab League, and UN member states.
A Senior Officials Meeting is scheduled for the following day to finalize an outcome document based on the discussions among participating delegations.
