While 18 people were rescued, four migrants perished after their boat capsized off the coast of Lesbos, Greece, according to the coastguard.
In the Aegean, a patrol found 22 people, but four of them were deceased, according to a brief statement.
The surviving were relocated to Mytilene, the capital of Lesbos, along the primary migratory route from Turkey.
No information was provided regarding the nationalities or health of individuals that were rescued.

According to Greek statistics, only 100 of them were saved, but it’s estimated that about 600 of them drowned.
In recent years, thousands of migrants, largely from Syria, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, have crossed into Greece from Turkey’s land and maritime borders.
Greece has increased patrols in the Aegean Sea between Greece and Turkey in accordance with a tough migration strategy, assisted by Frontex, the European Border Surveillance Agency.
