Sheikh Hasina, the prime minister who was overthrown, is the target of an arrest warrant issued today by the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) for her alleged crimes against humanity during the public movement that took place in July and August.
The order was passed by the three-judge tribunal presided over by Md. Golam Mortuza Majumdar, permitting the prosecution to present a plea.
ICT Chief Prosecutor Advocate Mohammad Tajul Islam stated, “The tribunal passed the order, asking to arrest and subsequently produce her before the court by November 18.”
