In an effort to increase travel between the two nations, Thailand has authorized a 60-day visa-free regime for citizens of Sri Lanka, effective June 1, the foreign minister of Sri Lanka announced here on Thursday.
Journalists were informed by Sabry that the Thai government has also instituted extended stays for students as well as visa-on-arrival programs.
According to Thai media, Thailand, whose economy is largely dependent on tourism, has lately approved a plethora of new visa promotions aimed at drawing in more visitors. These include longer stays for students as well as visa-free and visa-on-arrival programs.
