Renowned Bangladeshi singer Khalid passes away

At 7:15 p.m. tonight, well-known band singer Khalid passed away from a heart attack. Music producer Isha Khan Duray posted on Facebook that his body is currently in Comfort Hospital in the capital’s Green Road neighborhood.

According to him, musicians gathered to say their final goodbyes to the musical icon in the hospital.
The lead vocalist of the Chime band, Khalid, is well recognized for his hits, including “Himaloy,” “Kono Karonei,” and “Shorolotar Protima,” among many others.

Khalid became well-known as a solo performer as well as a band member.

In 1985, Khalid’s band “Chime” published their debut self-titled studio album, marking the beginning of their musical career. Chime put out a total of five studio albums until 2005.

Nevertheless, the band “Chime” saw a discernible drop in activity after 2005.
