To commemorate the Victory Day of Bangladesh, For the first time, Best holding Limited and Le Méridien Dhaka co-jointly will be organizing a one of a kind festival “Joyodhoni” with musical extravaganza by local artists, photography exhibition, Bijoy mela and also there will be traditional street food prepared by the award-winning chefs of the Hotel. The 3-day festival will start from 16 December and continue till 18 December 2019.
In the 3-day long event, shortlisted photographs from renowned photography clubs will be exhibited in the festival. Photographers can submit any photo based on the theme of Bangladesh Independence and Victory Day. The festival will be organized by Bestcom and sponsored by Pepsico.
Among all the submission, 6 photographs will be selected as the winning work. Le Méridien Dhaka will purchase all the winning photographs. In addition, the winners will be awarded crest and certificates. The exhibition will take place in the lobby of Le Méridien Dhaka from 16th of December to 18th of December. The festival will take place on the rooftop “Infinity” venue of Le Méridien Dhaka from December 16 – 18 December 2019, from 3:00 pm – 10:00 pm. Heavy-hitting bands like Nemesis and F Minor and renowned folk singer Kiron Chandra Roy will perform in the festival.
Alongside the musical arrangement, the hotel will organize a ‘Traditional Bijoy Mela’ to promote Bangladeshi street food and folk culture. The ‘Bijoy Mela’ will consist of 7 stalls which will be selling various kinds of traditional accessories such as glass bangles, nail art, face painting, Alta (red dye), Kumkum, desi saree, 100% herbal beauty products, hand made souvenirs and many more. There will also be a food corner named ‘Streets of Dhaka’ serving Bangladeshi street food like Chotpoti, Fuchka, Khasta Puri, Various Pitha, LM signature eclairs, Jhalmuri prepared by the hotel’s award-winning chefs.
