4th edition of traditional Durga Puja photography exhibition MFPS Sharodio 4 kicks off in Mymensingh

The biggest yearly festival for the People of Hindu religion is the homecoming ceremony of goddess Durga. It’s happened to be one of the most colorful and festive occasions in Bangladesh. It brings lots of new angels to celebration moods. So far In Mymensingh, it’s also Celebrated with different unique arrangements. And one of the most interesting arrangement is the Photo Exhibition about Goddess Durga’s homecoming, “Sharodio” organized by Mymensingh Film & Photography Society (MFPS).

This year MFPS has organized the 4th edition of “Sharodio” photo exhibition with 20 different photos of Durga Puja celebrations. It’s started today (Wednesday) morning with a small starting ceremony with MFPS family gathering. Among the photographers, most of are from Bangladesh and 5 guest photographs from Kolkata like last year. It’s integrated today at one of the big Durga temples in Mymensingh, known as “Durga Bari”.

A German visitor Leah says, “This exhibition in such kind of environment gives me an extraordinary feeling and knowledge about this festival procedure. It’s helping me a lot to understand the total scenario of this festival”.

One of the organizers Mr. Rifat Hasan Said, “We will try to keep continue our Sharodio Photo Exhibitions in future also. We will try our best to spread occasion based exhibition trend in Bangladesh

The exhibition will continue till 29th of September.

Kolkata Guests: Subhrarup Banerjee, Bikash Halder, Sudipta Dutta Chowdhury, Avik Ghosh and Soumya Das
