UK is keen to support transforming Bangladesh into aviation hub

UK High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cooke stated today that the UK is dedicated to helping Bangladesh become a center for aviation.

According to a press release issued here, the ambassador made the comment while meeting with Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Muhammad Faruk Khan at his home in the capital.

Cooke stated during the conference that the UK is now keen to increase collaboration in a greater variety of possible new areas, such as the training of trained workers, the improvement of security measures, and the development of technical capabilities in Bangladesh’s aviation industry.

She said that the two nations had previously collaborated on projects related to the aviation industry, such as the creation of airport security systems.

The minister replied by applauding the UK’s cordial assistance in effectively turning Bangladesh into a center for aviation.

He conveyed his happiness at the idea of the two nations cooperating to advance the aviation sector.

The minister went on to say that opportunities for cooperation between the two nations in a number of aviation-related fields will be investigated.

Faruk Khan went on to say that Bangladesh is being turned into a major aviation center by the administration, which is led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

He said that all of the nation’s airports have undergone significant development work, including the building of a third terminal at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, and that additional development work is currently under progress.

Additionally, he stated that efforts are underway by the government to establish Syedpur Airport as a regional center.
