‘Gono Odhikar Parishad’ holds meeting with US acting ambassador

Tracy Ann Jacobson, the acting US Ambassador to Bangladesh, met with the Gono Odhikar Parishad.

According to a press release, the team from Gono Odhikar Parishad consisted of Md. Rashed Khan, General Secretary, International Affairs Secretary, and President Nurul Haque Nur.

Political-Economic Counselor Eric Gilan and Political Affairs Officer James A. Stewart accompanied the acting US Ambassador.

A number of topics were discussed during the meeting, including the economy, bilateral ties, elections, US policy in Bangladesh, post-uprising politics, and Gono Odhikar Parishad’s future goals.

Tracy Ann Jacobson, the acting ambassador, commended the public’s and students’ involvement in the rebellion.
