Saudia expands operations in Bangladesh

As part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 strategy, which aims to strengthen commercial and tourism connections, Saudia Airlines is expanding its market share in Bangladesh.

According to a press statement, Saudia wants to grow its business and provide better service to Bangladeshi travellers, who are essential to the Kingdom’s tourism objectives, after more than 50 years of operating in the country.

With direct flights to Jeddah, Riyadh, and Medina, Saudia has established itself as a reliable airline for Bangladeshi tourists since its inaugural flight to Dhaka in 1980.The airline’s strong presence in the region is further reinforced by the several weekly flights it currently offers from Chattogram and Dhaka.

By 2030, Saudi Arabia hopes to have over three million tourists from Bangladesh visit the country each year, demonstrating its desire to make tourism a major part of its economy. This emphasis is in line with the Kingdom’s overarching goal of receiving 330 million tourists from around the world in the same year.

The BETA version of Travel Companion (TC), an AI-powered platform that lets travellers easily book hotels, transportation, and activities, is one of the cutting-edge digital services Saudia has launched to improve the travel experience. Additionally, the airline has redesigned its AlFursan loyalty program, making it easier to manage rewards and upgrade memberships while guaranteeing a more user-friendly experience.
