IVAC offers limited service for Indian visa

Bangladeshi nationals in need of urgent medical and student visas can now reserve a limited number of appointment dates through the Indian Visa Application Center (IVAC).

According to the IVAC’s official website, the service has been provided from its five facilities in Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Sylhet, and Khulna.

Additionally, for urgent instances involving Bangladeshi workers and students who need to go to third countries and for whom they already have visa appointments with foreign embassies in India, these five IVAC have opened restricted appointment slots.

In view of the current situation, IVAC is currently processing only limited number of visas of emergency and humanitarian nature.

“For other pending applications, we are returning the passports keeping in view that many applicants may need their passport back for other needs,” read the website.

Following the stabilization of the security situation, the IVAC will resume regular business operations, process any outstanding applications, and request that applicants submit their passports again if their visa applications are granted.
