Chief Advisor meets NGO leaders at 3pm today

Today, non-governmental organization (NGO) leaders will meet with Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser to the interim government, to discuss the recent flood crisis in the nation.

According to Apurba Jhangir, the deputy press secretary for the chief adviser, the meeting will start at 3 p.m. in the State Guest House Jamuna in the capital.

According to him, a large number of NGOs are conducting rescue operations and providing relief supplies to flood victims in the current, catastrophic floods.

As Apurba put it, the chief adviser will actually talk to them about how to deal with the flooding scenario.

The ongoing, exceptional floods have affected around 5 million people in 11 regions that have been devastated by flooding.
