PRAN-RFL wins seven export trophies

The PRAN-RFL Group received seven national export trophies for FY 2021–2022, including three gold ones, in recognition of its exceptional contribution to the export sector of the nation.

The Ministry of Commerce awarded trophies to one of the nation’s top corporations for exporting plastic goods, melamine, agricultural processing, and light engineering products.

Today at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presented the prizes to the PRAN-RFL Group during an event.

As the top exporter for the past 21 years running, PRAN-RFL Group has now been given the “National Export Trophy” by the government. A news statement stated that the group also broke a record by winning three gold prizes in a single fiscal year.

In agro processing sector, PRAN won all the awards in this category. Habiganj Agro Ltd, PRAN Agro Ltd, and PRAN Foods Ltd. obtained gold, silver and bronze trophies respectively.

Allplast Bangladesh Ltd and Banga Plastic International Ltd of RFL Group got gold and bronze trophies respectively in plastic goods sector. Durable Plastic Ltd receives gold trophies in melamine sectors while Rangpur Metal Industries Ltd got bronze trophies in the light engineering sector.

In the program, Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, Chairman and CEO of PRAN-RFL Group received the gold trophies on behalf of Habiganj Agro and Allplast Bangladesh from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

AKM Moinul Islam Moin and Saiful Islam Sikder, Executive Directors of the group received the award on behalf of PRAN Agro and PRAN Foods respectively. Therefore, R N Paul, Managing Director of RFL Group received the awards on behalf of Durable Plastic, Banga Plastic and Rangpur Metal Industries.

“Bangladesh is aiming for hundreds of billions of dollars in export revenue in the coming years by emphasizing export diversification,” stated Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, Chairman and CEO of PRAN-RFL Group. Therefore, in addition to ready-made clothing, we need to pay more attention to emerging markets. He stated that PRAN-RFL Group has been making great efforts to diversify its export market and is starting to see results.

France was the first country to receive products from the nation’s top food manufacturer and exporter, PRAN-RFL Group, in 1997. The group currently exports a wide range of goods to 145 nations, including the UK, USA, Canada, Malaysia, UAE, Oman, India, and Nepal.
