President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Monday that Ukraine was requesting an urgent UN Security Council meeting in response to a deadly flurry of Russian airstrikes throughout the nation.
“Ukraine is currently initiating an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council due to the Russian strike on civilian infrastructure, including the children’s hospital,” the leader wrote on X.
