Angelina Jolie accused of steering kids away from Brad Pitt

New claims have surfaced in the ongoing court battle between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, suggesting that the former may have encouraged her kids to “avoid” spending time with their father when they were on visitation.

According to People magazine, Tony Webb, a security guard who formerly worked for the former marriage, documented these allegations in court records.

Jolie aide Michael Vieira allegedly tried to get in touch with Webb, who worked for Jolie from 2000 to 2020, in order to stop two of her bodyguards from testifying in Jolie and Pitt’s custody dispute.

Vieira allegedly requested Webb to talk the bodyguards out of testifying, pointing out that they had all signed non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) with Jolie.

In spite of the NDAs, Ross Foster, one of the bodyguards, announced his plan to testify regarding remarks he purportedly heard Jolie make, advising the kids not to spend time with Pitt when they are in custody, according to People magazine.

In response to these claims, Angelina Jolie’s lawyer Paul Murphy rejected Pitt’s attempts to compare standard NDAs to a plot to hide his behavior.

Murphy emphasized that Jolie was pursuing family health and separation, and the case was about power and control.

Pitt’s attorneys used Webb’s declaration as evidence in their defense, pointing out that Jolie had previously used NDAs, which undermined her objections to signing them in the context of their court battle for their Chateau Miraval winery in France.

Accusations and counteraccusations have characterized Jolie and Pitt’s legal battle as both parties try to persuade the judge to rule in their favor.

Jolie’s attorneys stated that Pitt was afraid of sealed documents pertaining to their custody battle being made public, while Pitt’s attorneys accused Jolie of using their business disagreement as a platform to discuss family court issues.

The already complicated legal proceedings between the Hollywood ex-couples are further complicated by the claims that Jolie encouraged the kids to avoid Pitt when they were visiting.
