Saad, a trans beauty vlogger, held captive and abused in Dhaka

Saad Mua, a transgender beauty blogger, claims she was held captive and abused by a guy and a woman she met four days ago at a restaurant in the city’s Bashundhara neighborhood.

Saad said in her police report that the man and lady afterward asked her to lunch at their home. When she arrived at their home, the accused reportedly kidnapped her, took her bag and mobile phone, and tortured her.

A complaint has been lodged in the victim’s case at Bhatara police station in the capital on Friday. He also said that valuables including his mobile phone were snatched at that time. Bhatara Police Station OC Sajedur Rahman confirmed the matter.

He said the case was filed on Friday. Legal action will be taken if the accused are found involved in the investigation.

She identified the woman as Saima Sikder Nira, a Daffodil International University student, and the male as Ishtiaq Fuad, a former Air Force official, and a North-South University student, on Facebook.
