Malaysia has facilitated the return of workers stranded in the country during the Corona holiday. Many have already returned to the country with permission to enter.
Employees can return to Malaysia conditionally by applying through an app called My Travel Pass. The matter has been confirmed by Bangladesh Ambassador to Malaysia Golam Sarwar. To return to work, workers must follow the country’s government policy.
Workers who have a plantation, agriculture, and construction visas are getting prior permission to enter Malaysia. Because production is being disrupted due to the labor crisis in these sectors.
When the corona outbreak occurred in March 2020, Malaysia went into a continuous lockdown. As a result, many workers on leave have not been able to enter the country for a long time. Many visas and passports have expired in this long time.
On the other hand, Malaysia’s economy and GDP are under threat for the first time in 22 years due to the novel Corona. The labor crisis has reduced their productivity in various sectors. As a result, trade and industry have been severely affected.
Whether or not to return to Malaysia depends on the cooperation of the owner or employer. It is possible to enter the country only by applying and getting permission from the immigration department through the owner. The embassy has been warned not to be deceived by any broker or agent.
