Interim govt is supported by legal documents, people’s wish: HC

 The High Court (HC) in the full text of its order that summarily rejected a petition challenging the process of formation of present interim government, has said this government is supported by the legal documents and the wish of country’s people.

The full text of the order which was releases recently, said the writ was misleading, hateful and harassing.

The High Court bench of Justice Fatema Najib and Justice Sikder Mahmudur Razi passed the order, after holding hearing on the writ petition filed by Supreme Court lawyer Mohammd Mohsin Rashid.

“The President of Bangladesh took an advisory opinion under Article 106 of the Constitution in a unique situation. He acted according to the opinion. So, it is supported by legal documents, supported by the will of the people of Bangladesh. The mass uprising that took place in July-August 2024 is part of our history and we hope the people will be taken care of for many years to come,” the order said.
