Army chief attends Armored Corps Annual Commandant’s Conference 

The Armored Corps Center and School (ACC&S) in Bogura Cantonment hosted the 44th Annual Commandant Conference-2024 of the Bangladesh Army today.

According to a statement released this afternoon by the Directorate of Inter-Services of Public Relations (ISPR), General Waker-Uz-Zaman, the Chief of Army Staff, was in attendance as the main guest on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the army chief gave the Bangladesh Army and other leaders, including the commandants of the armored corps units, the required directions for the corps’ development.

He urged all Armored Corps members to stay prepared to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century by gaining the necessary skills through contemporary and up-to-date training, citing the Corps’ illustrious history and its role in serving the nation.

In the next days, the army chief hoped, each member of the corps would provide a new example of service to the nation.

According to the ISPR, he later planted a seedling there and participated in a picture shoot with the commandants.

The inaugural ceremony of the Armored Corps’ “9th Colonel Commandant” was held at the Bogura Cantonment’s Martyr Lt. Badiuzzaman Parade Ground in accordance with military traditions and custom.

Among those in attendance were the GOC, the Army Training and Doctrine Command, senior military leaders from Army Headquarters, the commandant of the Armored Corps Center and School, the commanders of all Bangladesh Army armored brigades, the commandant of armored units, and members of the media.
