Speaking at the event, the air chief stated that this airport has steadily grown in importance for both military and civilian aircraft operations, which would greatly benefit the country.

stating that the Bogura Airport is crucial for CASEVAC and MEDEVAC operations from the region’s more isolated districts since it allows for the prompt evacuation of critical patients for improved care.

He said proper maintenance of this runway would also play an effective role in national security and any emergency situations.

The runway would serve as an alternate and emergency landing center for VVIP flights, which would play a role in ensuring safety in case of any situation arising in the North-West region, he hoped.

According to the air chief, it would serve as a strategic hub to enable quick personnel deployment during natural disasters like floods, aid, and army relief operations.
