Iran on Wednesday denounced as “baseless” French President Emmanuel Macron’s statements that Tehran was the primary Middle Eastern strategic and security threat.
Calling the remarks “baseless, contradictory, and speculative,” foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei urged France “to reconsider its non-constructive approaches to peace and stability” in the area.
