Former Cambodian opposition MP shot dead in Bangkok: Thai media

According to Thai media, a gunman on a motorcycle killed a former opposition MP from Cambodia in Bangkok on Tuesday.

“Lim Kimya passed away on the spot. The Bangkok Post said that the assassin was a dual Cambodian-French national and that officers from the Metropolitan Police Bureau had begun a manhunt for him.

Thai police told AFP that “we are currently investigating the motives and will provide more information at a later time” after confirming the death of a Cambodian man without naming Lim Kimya.
