5-day oceanographic data analysis training begins at SUST

The ‘Statistical Analysis of Oceanographic Data’ training session, which will last five days, began today at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST).

The event was opened this morning in the IICT Bhaban conference room by Professor Dr. Md. Sajedul Karim, the university’s pro vice chancellor.

Participants in the training program, which was organized by the Department of Oceanography, included representatives from several universities and research institutions in Malaysia, India, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka.

Sajedul Karim, in his speech, said it is a matter of delight that the Department of Oceanography of SUST is organizing such international-level training where participants can share their experiences with interactive sessions.

The inaugural session was chaired by Dr. Subrata Sarker, head of the Oceanography Department, and attended by SUST treasurer Professor Dr. Md Ismail Hossain, director of the Computer and Information Center Professor Dr. Rezwan Ahmed, and others.

The program is being attended by 22 people in total. Different sessions are being conducted by SUST and Chattogram University teachers.
