Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, a former minister and member of the BNP Standing Committee, stated today that change is an ongoing democratic process that cannot be completed at a table.
“Only elected government having people’s mandate will carry out complete reforms in the parliament,” he told a discussion at BSMMU hospital in the capital.
The conversation, “Martyred President Ziaur Rahman and Today’s Bangladesh,” was arranged by the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB).Injured July Uprising participants also received financial support during the program.
Dr. Rafiqul Islam, the BNP’s Health Affairs Secretary, attended the event.
According to Amir Khasru, the nation’s citizens should be the ones to take ownership of and collaborate on the reform. He went on to say that if politicians have terrible motives, no reform will work.
He pointed out that the BNP was founded through reforms and that Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman’s overall reforms are the reason Bangladesh is still surviving after the Awami League administration wrecked it.
Speaking about President Ziaur Rahman’s development initiatives, Amir Khasru stated that Bangladesh has been able to establish itself as an independent and sovereign nation on the global stage under his administration.
Ziaur Rahman oversaw the implementation of numerous projects, such as the growth of the apparel sector and the export of labor.
Bangladesh where it stands now was achieved under the leadership of Ziaur Rahman.
