Govt issues cautions against illegal overseas workers in Bangladesh

The home ministry sent out a warning notice today asking those foreigners who are operating illegally in Bangladesh to get the documents they need to remain and work here.

“Otherwise, the legal action will be taken against them,” said the warning notice.

The notice was signed by D. Mohammad Abdul Momen, Senior Secretary of the Public Security Division and Security Services Division, and Md. Khuda Baksh Chowdhury, Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser (Equivalent to State Minister), Home Ministry.

The notification was allegedly issued in response to accusations from multiple sources alleging that numerous foreign nationals are unlawfully residing in Bangladesh and working in various institutions.
