Sheikh Md. Sazzad Ali, the commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), had a courtesy call today from a team from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), USA.
According to a police press statement, Assistant Legal Attaché Robert J. Cameron of the FBI and Muhammad Aminul Islam, a Police Liaison Specialist in the US Embassy’s Office of the Legal Attaché, paid a visit to DMP Headquarters this morning.
At the time, senior DMP personnel were there.
The meeting covered the topic of ongoing collaboration between the FBI and the DMP in order to strengthen their relationship going forward.
Determining future work plans to improve the effectiveness of Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) officers, maintaining mutual cooperation in preventing crimes like terrorism, cybercrime, and transnational crime, and supporting one another in raising professional standards were also topics covered in the meeting.
