The Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) detained two guns dealers and a gun from Hatia in the Noakhali district on Wednesday evening.
The infamous guns dealer Osman Gani (55), together with his partner Shahed (52) have been named as the arrestees.
After receiving a tip, a coast guard squad detained the two at 8 p.m. on Wednesday in the Lohar Pul neighbourhood, which is close to Tamruddi Bazar in the Hatia Upazila of the Noakhali district, according to a BCG press release.
They found three cell phones, four rocket flares, one cartridge, and one domestic gun.
All of the confiscated goods and the arrested individuals were turned over to the Hatia Police Station.
