GP, Ericsson tie up to deliver better customer services

In order to improve the user experience, mobile phone operator Grameenphone and IT behemoth Ericsson have joined forces to concentrate on innovation, expansion, and the implementation of state-of-the-art solutions through workshops, pilot projects, and technology trials.

According to a press release, this partnership will also involve government agencies, industry partners, and regulators for the telecom sector’s sustainable expansion.

According to the report, Grameenphone and Ericsson inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that will use Ericsson’s experience to improve customer service by expanding the network.

The 1998-started collaboration between Grameenphone and Ericsson will also be strengthened and advanced by the MoU.

Niranjan Srinivasan, Chief Information Officer of Grameenphone, said, “Partnering with Ericsson is a key step towards the telco tech vision of Grameenphone. The technology that we intend to collaborate on will transform and deliver a superior experience for our customers built on our common AI first approach & ambition.”

David Hägerbro, Head of Ericsson Malaysia, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh said, “Our award-winning AI and Automation solutions will allow Grameenphone to respond even better to the evolving needs of its customers and meet the increasingly complex demands on the network.”
