The first of its kind, a two-day Global South Media and Think Tank Forum, began Monday in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The event, which was co-hosted by the Brazil Communication Company and Xinhua News Agency, had as its theme “Development and Revitalisation: A New Journey for the Global South.”
Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) was one of over 350 participants from 170 media outlets, government organisations, businesses, and other organisations from 70 nations and regions that attended the event.
Bangladesh was represented at the event by BSS Managing Director and Chief Editor Mahbub Morshed, who spoke at the plenary session, emphasising the development of new narratives and value systems to promote multifaceted ties among the nations of the global south.
