Jamal not included in initial squad for FIFA friendlies

The 16-man initial squad for Bangladesh’s forthcoming FIFA International Friendly Series against the Maldives at home in November was released by coach Javier Cabrera today (Wednesday), with regular skipper Jamal Bhuyan not included.

The capital’s Bashundhara Kings Arena will host the two games on November 13 and 16.

The coach disclosed that the majority of the team’s players are from other Bashundhara Kings clubs that are presently playing in Bhutan’s AFC Challenge League.

Coach Cabrera will reveal the names of a few more players when Kings’ footballers return home.

The national team camp with the 16 footballers will begin from Friday (Nov 1). 

Bangladesh initial squad: 

Mitul Marma and Md Sujon Hossain (goal keeper), Murad Hasan, Mehedi Hasan, Shakil Ahmed Topu, Rahmat Mia, Shakil Hossain, Isa Faisal and Taj Uddin (defender), Md Ridoy, Syed Shah Quazem Kirmanee, Papon Singh and Didarul Alom (midfielder), Md Shahriar Emon, Arman Faisal Akash and Mirajul Islam 
(forward).
