ICT gets five new prosecutors

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) now has nine prosecutors overall after the government nominated five additional prosecutors.

SM Moinul Karim, Md Nure Ershad Siddiqui, Shaikh Mahdi, Tarek Abdullah, and Tanvir Hasan Joha are the five prosecutors who were recently appointed.

Out of the five, Tanvir Hasan Joha will be an Assistant Attorney General, while SM Moinul Karim and Md Nure Ershad have been appointed as Deputy Attorney Generals. Joha is an expert in digital forensics.
 
On October 24, the Law and Justice Division’s solicitor wing published a notice in the gazette stating that the order will take effect right away.

On September 7, the government named four prosecutors, with Muhammad Tajul Islam, an advocate for the Supreme Court, serving as the Chief Prosecutor.

BM Sultan Mahmud, Abdullah Al Noman, and Gazi Monawar Hossain Tamim are the other three prosecutors.
