BRAC Healthcare is now open in Siddheswari

In Siddheswari, BRAC Healthcare Limited, a division of BRAC Enterprises, opened its third medical facility. Dedicated to providing warm, kind care that is comparable to that of a close family member, BRAC Healthcare opened its first location in the capital’s Mirpur neighbourhood in March of last year. Earlier this year, a second branch was established in Uttara, building on this strategy.

The new branch was formally opened on Thursday, October 17, 2024, by Tamara Hasan Abed, Managing Director of BRAC Enterprises and Chairperson of BRAC Healthcare Limited. It is situated at House-116/1, Siddheswari Circular Road, 27 Shaheed Sangbadik Selina Parvin Road, Dhaka.

This expansion marks a significant milestone in the healthcare sector as BRAC Healthcare commits to delivering top-tier, patient-centric medical services adhering to the highest ethical standards. Staffed by a team of highly qualified medical professionals, the centre pledges to meet evolving healthcare needs through six key service pillars: Family Physician and First Aid Care, Doctor Consultations, Health and Wellness (Physiotherapy, Mental Health Counselling, and Nutrition), Dental Care, and Diagnostics. The centre also hosts a government-registered model pharmacy, offering access to safe medicines at competitive prices, with esxperienced Pharmacists ready to assist clients.

During the opening ceremony, Tamara Hasan Abed remarked, “Our first two branches have served thousands of patients, and the overwhelmingly positive feedback has reinforced our belief that healthcare can and should be centred on the patient experience. Today, as we open the doors to this new facility, we reaffirm our commitment to transforming the healthcare landscape in Bangladesh.”

The inauguration’s introductory speech was given by Mohammad Anisur Rahman, managing director of BRAC Healthcare Limited and senior director of BRAC Enterprises. Asif Mahmud, the centre manager; Dr. Md. Tanvir Hasan Faisal, a family physician; Moutushi Kabir, senior director of people, culture, and communications at BRAC; and nurse Sharly Annesha Madhu were also in attendance.

With the release of its new app earlier this year, BRAC Healthcare improved the quality of its services. With the help of the app, people can easily schedule appointments, keep tabs on their medical records, and obtain a variety of healthcare services straight from their smartphones.

BRAC Healthcare has treated over 50,000 patients since the opening of its first two branches, which were successfully opened in Uttara Sector 6 and the Kazipara region of Mirpur. Almost half of these patients have been women. Appointments and services are currently available at the recently opened location in Siddheswari.
