Estonian Ambassador H.E. Marje Luup Meets withBangladesh’s Foreign Affairs Adviser to Discuss Bilateral Relations and Reforms

H.E. Marje LUUP, the recently appointed non-resident ambassador of Estonia to Bangladesh, made his first formal visit to Hon. Md. Touhid Hossain, the advisor for foreign affairs, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka today.

In addition to congratulating H.E. Marje LUUP on her appointment as Estonia’s ambassador to Bangladesh, the Hon. Adviser for Foreign Affairs informed her on the goals and current reform measures of Bangladesh’s interim government.

The Ambassador and the Honourable Advisor discussed the bilateral relations between Estonia and Bangladesh and both indicated a desire to expand the current bilateral collaboration.

The Ambassador gave the Honourable Advisor an update on Estonia’s major accomplishments in the field of information and communications technology, with a focus on cybersecurity and e-governance. Estonia also indicated interest in working with Bangladesh in this area. The potential for setting up student exchange programs in the information technology sector was also examined by both parties.

The Honourable President of Bangladesh received her credentials earlier today from the recently appointed non-resident Estonian Ambassador to Bangladesh.
