Biman takes steps to make cargo operation transparent

In an effort to improve openness and accountability in cargo operations, Biman Bangladesh Airlines has developed a new monitoring system and opened a dedicated phone center to help exporters with up-to-date information about their shipments.

According to a news release issued by Biman here today, the national flag carrier has set up monitors at its cargo export division to show booking and shipment data for items being transported on various Biman aircraft.

By making it easier for exporters and agents to stay updated on the status of their shipments, this project seeks to improve information flow and speed up business processes.

Additionally, the newly established cargo call center can be reached by dialing 13636 (extension 6), where customers can inquire about shipment details.

The service will be available everyday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

These steps underscore the Biman’s commitment for improving service efficiency for the country’s exporters, ensuring smoother operations and enhanced customer support in the cargo sector, the release said.
