Govt to import 60,000 MTs urea fertiliser from Saudi Arabia, Qatar 

In honor of the impending Durga Puja, the Bangladeshi government has authorized the sale of 3,000 metric tons of succulent Hilsa fish to India, the commerce ministry announced in a statement today.

It stated that in order to get export permits by 12 p.m. on September 24, interested applicants should get in touch with the appropriate wing of the ministry (Deputy Secretary, Export Wing-2, Room No-127, Building-3, Ministry of Commerce).

The statement added that individuals who have already applied before the ministry to this goal are not need to apply again and that no new applications would be processed after the aforementioned date.

The plan calls for the importation of 30,000 metric tons of bulk granular urea fertilizer at a cost per metric ton from SABIC Agri-nutrients Company, Saudi Arabia, for about Taka 118.01 crore.

A state arrangement will be used to import the remaining 30,000 metric tons of bulk granular urea fertilizer from Muntajat, Qatar. The same Taka 118.01 crore will be spent on the import, or $327.83 per metric ton.
