Storm Boris caused flooding in the Czech Republic, which resulted in one fatality and seven reported missing people, Czech police said on Monday.
Police Chief Martin Vondrasek informed a radio station that authorities “recorded seven people missing” in addition to one person drowning in a stream near Bruntal in the northeast.
As a result of the storm, nine people have now passed away in eastern and central Europe, several more are still missing, and millions have had to leave their homes.
Six individuals died and one went missing in Romania over the weekend; a seventh person drowned in Poland; and a firefighter lost his life while responding to a flood in Austria.
