Bangladesh-India relations should be based on equity: CA

Today, Professor Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser, stated that the relationship between India and Bangladesh should be founded on equity and fairness.

“It is imperative that we preserve positive relationships with India.” According to Mahfuj Alam, the special assistant to the chief adviser, Prof Yunus stated this during a view-exchange meeting with frontline students who were involved in the student-people revolution at the Chief Adviser’s Office (CAO) in this city. However, the basis of the meeting should be equity and fairness.

Following the meeting, Mahfuj addressed the media at the Foreign Service Academy.

He disclosed that the interim government’s perspective on India was articulated by the chief counsel in response to a student’s inquiry during the meeting.

According to Professor Yunus, Bangladesh consistently prioritizes mutual respect and equity in its interactions with its neighbors.

He emphasized the importance of revitalizing the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) in order to improve regional cooperation.
