Four ministries, President’s Office get new secretaries

Five secretaries in four ministries and the President’s Office received contract appointments today from the acting administration headed by Nobel laureate Prof. Dr. Muhammad Yunus.

In this regard, a notification was released today by the Ministry of Public Administration stating that they have been appointed to a two-year contract beginning on their joining date.

The Ministry of Home Affairs has appointed Dr. Mohammad Abdul Momen as Secretary of the Public Security Division and Dr. Sheikh Abdur Rashid as Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division.

M. A. Akmal Hossain Azad has been named Secretary of the Ministry of Railways, while Md. Ehchanul Haque has been appointed Secretary of the Road Transport and Highways Division.

The responsibility of the President’s Office (Public Division) has been assigned to Nasimul Gani.
