According to the Directorate General of Health Services’ daily announcement, 237 people were admitted to hospitals in the last 24 hours as of today morning (DGHS).
According to the statement, 132 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka during that time, and 105 patients were admitted to other hospitals outside of the city.
This year, there have been 8,217 cases overall, and 74 dengue-related deaths have been documented.
166 dengue patients were released from various hospitals in the last 24 hours.
Last year, the country recorded 1,705 dengue-related deaths and a total of 3,21,179 dengue cases.
According to a recent DGHS survey, 18 wards spread over two city corporations in Dhaka are at high risk of contracting dengue on May 29.
According to the survey, the vulnerable wards of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) are 4, 13, 52, 54, 16, 3, 5, 15, 17 and 23, and the risky wards of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) are 12, 13, 20, 36, 31, 32, 17 and 33.
