7 Bangladeshi envoys asked to return

The Bangladeshi ambassadors to the US, Russia, Germany, Japan, the UAE, the KSA, and the high commissioner to the Maldives have been instructed by the government to return home and relinquish their current positions from their respective missions overseas.

Regarding this, separate transfer orders have been issued by the foreign ministry.
Since September of 2022, Mohammad Imran has represented Bangladesh in the United States of America as ambassador.

On January 5, 2020, Ambassador Kamrul Ahsan began serving in the Bangladeshi Embassy in Moscow. Since August 2020, Dr. Mohammad Javed Patwary has represented Bangladesh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as ambassador.

On October 2, 2020, Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan became an ambassador for Bangladesh in the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Berlin. He also has concurrent accreditations to the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS), the Czech Republic, and Kosovo.

Mohammed Abu Zafar is Bangladesh’s ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, whereas Shahabuddin Ahmed is Bangladesh’s ambassador to Japan.

Presently representing Bangladesh in the Maldives as High Commissioner is Rear Admiral S M Abul Kalam Azad.
