Mild heat wave sweeping over parts of country

Mild Heat wave is sweeping over two divisions and three districts and it may abate from some places.

“Mild Heat wave is sweeping over Rangpur and Sylhet divisions and the districts of Rajshahi, Tangail and Kishoreganj and it may abate from some places”, said a met office forecast for the next 24 hours bulletin.

There is a good chance of light to moderate rain or thunder showers over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, as well as a few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Dhaka divisions, and one or two places over Rajshahi division. There is also a chance of moderately heavy to heavy falls in certain places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions.

The monsoon trough’s axis passes through the southern portion of Bangladesh and passes into Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, and Assam. Over Bangladesh, the monsoon is fairly busy, and over North Bay, it is mild.

Rangpur recorded the country’s highest temperature of 37.0 degrees Celsius on Sunday, while Kutubdia recorded the lowest temperature of 25.1 degrees Celsius today.

At Patuakhali, the most rain that fell in a 24-hour period ending at six a.m. today was 41 millimeters (mm).

Across the nation, day and nighttime temperatures may drop marginally.
