Bkash offers discounts for paying electricity, gas, and water bills

Customers who pay their first electricity, gas, and water bills through the bKash app in July will receive a discount code good for Taka 100 off each bill, Taka 300 off each month, and a three-month total of Taka 900.

For every Taka 400 or more that customers pay in electricity, gas, and water bills through bKash, they can receive a discount coupon worth Taka 100.

According to a press release released today, clients who pay their electricity bills using bKash for the first time by July 31 will receive a coupon. They can then use that code to acquire their second coupon by paying their bills between August 5 and August 31 and their third coupon by paying their bills between September 5 and September 30.

Simultaneously, customers can separately enjoy the same amount of discount coupons for paying gas and water bills for the first time through bKash.

Consequently, users now have the chance to pay for three different types of utility services and receive a total of nine coupons worth Taka 900 (Taka 100 each) in three months.

Every coupon has a 30-day expiration date and may be used at specific superstores and lifestyle stores for a minimum bKash payment of Taka 1,000.

additional user can use bKash to pay up to four electricity bills per month without incurring additional fees in addition to the ongoing campaigns.

In addition, there are no fees associated with paying phone, gas, or water bills. Customers can simply pay their bills and check their bill amount at any moment by storing their bills on the bKash app.

This eliminates the need for typing the account number or finding the paper bills every time. The easiest way to pay utility bills is by tapping on the ‘Saved Account’ option from the ‘Pay Bill’ icon in bKash app.

In the meantime, customers can set ‘auto pay’ in bKash to pay certain bills more efficiently; in that case, bills would be paid automatically on specific date every month.
