Sara Duterte, the vice president of the Philippines, announced her resignation from President Ferdinand Marcos’ government on Wednesday, according to the presidential palace.
According to presidential spokeswoman Cheloy Garafil, Duterte “tendered her resignation as member of the cabinet” and will not be continuing in her role as secretary of education. She will, however, remain vice president.
