Bangladeshi maritime ports asked to hoist local cautionary signal 3

The severe monsoon is causing deep convection over the North Bay, therefore maritime ports in Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla, and Payra have been recommended to hoist local cautionary single number three.

The North Bay, the country’s marine ports, and the neighboring coastal areas could be impacted by gusty or squally weather, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) stated in a special bulletin today.

It is urged that, until further notice, all trawlers and fishing boats operating in the North Bay approach the coast closely and continue cautiously.
