The six candidates—mostly conservatives—approved for the June 28 election to succeed President Ebrahim Raisi, who was died in a helicopter crash, were revealed by Iran on Sunday.
The Guardian Council, which is in charge of overseeing elections in the Islamic republic, chose the eighty registered candidates who were then presented by the interior ministry.
Only one comes from the reformist side, and Mahmud Ahmadinejad, the previous president, was not accepted.
