Tomorrow, the country will appropriately commemorate both National Day and its 54th anniversary of independence.
On this day, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and President Mohammed Shahabuddin delivered separate speeches.
To commemorate the day appropriately, the government has implemented complex national programs.
The day’s programmes will begin with gun salutes early in the morning as a mark of profound respect to the heroic struggle of this nation, which suffered a protracted subjugation under foreign rules from time to time until achieving their coveted independence in 1971.
Along with the rising of the sun, every government, semi-government, autonomous, and private building will have the national flag flown atop it. Additionally, national and multicolored tiny flags and festoons will be adorning every street and significant city intersection.
