Italian PM in Kyiv for G7 virtual meeting on Ukraine

On the second anniversary of the Russian invasion, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni arrived in Kyiv on Saturday to chair a G7 virtual conference on Ukraine, the Italian government stated.

The G7’s alternating chairmanship is currently held by Italy. Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, will also be present at the conference, which will cover fresh sanctions against Russia.
