In a letter to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, US President Joe Biden expressed his desire to collaborate with her to meet Bangladesh’s economic objectives.
“He (Biden) also expressed willingness to partnering with Bangladesh on their shared vision for a free and open Indo-Pacific,” said a foreign ministry press release here this evening.
“The United States is committed to supporting Bangladesh’s ambitious economic goals and partnering with Bangladesh on our shared vision for a free and open Indo-Pacific,” Biden said in his letter.
The US President expressed his sincere desire to communicate the administration’s commitment to continuing their work together on a number of issues, including global health, economic development, climate change and energy, humanitarian support, particularly for Rohingya refugees, and more, as the two nations begin the next chapter of their partnership with Bangladesh.
“We have a long and successful history of working together to solve problems, and our strong people-to-people ties are the foundation of this relationship,” the US President wrote to Bangladesh Prime Minister.
The statement further stated that the letter was shared on Sunday between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the US Embassy.
