‘Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF)-2024’ will begin from 3rd week of January, 2024 at ‘Bangabandhu Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre’ in the capital’s Purbachal area.
Talking to BSS, a senior official of the Commerce Ministry informed that the trade fair will begin within January 15 to 20 instead of January 1 due to the national election to be held on January 7.
He continued, “The government is making every possible preparation to hold the fair in a peaceful atmosphere.”
At the fair venue, there will be food stalls, foreign pavilions, general pavilions, reserved pavilions for women, premium pavilions, and premium mini pavilions.
According to the top official, this year’s fair has a wider scope than previous ones.
The Premier Pavilion floor’s minimum rent for the most recent fair was Tk 20 lakh; however, Tk 22 lakh will be the rate for the following fair. In a similar vein, the minimum booth rent of Tk 3.50 lakh has been raised to Tk 4 lakh for general stalls and Tk 4.50 lakh for reserved stalls.
And the minimum rent of reserved mini pavilion has been increased by 47 percent to Tk 11 lakh.
The entry fee for visitors has been remaining unchanged. The ticket price of entry to the fair for adults has been increased to Tk 50 and minors Tk 25.
